Durable
Brian (Seattle, WA) 8/7/2011 11:23 PM
I'm not a huge fan of the kit Blackhawk bangs out, however this bag has certainly been worth every cent I've paid into it... and like the above user comment, I've been humping the same bag around for nearly 10 years with no issues either. The zippers are strong and will still close even when this bag is stuffed to the gills. With a little creativity on the users part and some 550, you can strap an incredible amount of gear to this bag with no worries about the strap fasteners breaking, fabric ripping, or the shoulder straps coming apart. All I've ever done to clean it is make a visit to a random car wash stateside... fifty cents later, I've got a new bag. Highly recommended and worth the money.

Old Reliable
Jeff Sherwood (Saint Augustine, FL) 4/12/2009 2:36 PM
What can be said about the Blackhawk 3 day? I bought mine through procurement before deployment back when Steve had just opened his first shop in Va. Beach - back when it was called "Extreme Sports", and I still have that bag. It's taken well over a decade of serious abuse, and just won't give up. It's been soaked in salt water almost as much as it's been dry, painted various colors at least two dozen times, overwhelmingly overloaded and dragged through horrendous conditions, and only recently has one of the shoulder straps started to fray along the seam of the padding - which I'm sure they would sew for free if I asked, but it's nothing a bit of 100mph tape didn't tidy up. Of course their are more modular packs with all kinds of attachment points sewn on available - but if you're looking for an affordable do everything pack that's going to the go the distance and then some - don't hesitate to grab old reliable.
