Bridgedale 8" Military Trailhead Long S.O.S

I admit it, I'm a gear snob...I am constantly refining my kit to be tailored for exactly the mission I'm on...both on and off duty. Off duty I'm an avid mountaineer and spend more hours climbing in the Chugach Range of AK than I do playing Army. I used to avoid the socks I wore with my combat boots in the back country because they were too warm and generated too many hot spots when climbing in scree. These spec ops sock however have found themselves abused by me because they are a universal fit for my active lifestyle...great for keeping the blisters away on a long road march with a heavy ruck, quick drying, keeps your feet cool when they sweat but still keeps your feet warm enough in wet and inclement weather. They are lighter than most 'light' hiker socks because the cushioning is in all the right spots. Bottom line, they are my favorite socks now, on and off duty!
