Feelmax footwear is the lightest footwear on the market – each shoe weighs less than 100 grams. The shoes fit almost as tightly as a sock, which makes them extremely comfortable to wear.
The shaping of the human foot and the consequent development of our way of walking took approximately four million years. Over the last few millennia, we have restricted the operation of our feet and departed from our natural way of walking by wearing shoes.
The Finnish company Feelmax Oy has enabled a return to the natural by developing the unique Feelmax shoes – pioneers of a new footwear culture – which simulate walking barefoot.
The purpose of Feelmax footwear is to promote the positive effects of being barefoot on the operation and control of the feet, and consequently the whole body.

My Favorite FeelMax shoe

Howdy Folks
I have been very happy with most of my experiments with FeelMax footwear.
I was testing the Niesas last year before they were released and liked them.
You can read some of my reports here:
http://barefootted.com/feelmax.html
I even chose the name for the Osma (they are all Finnish river names)...the original name was going to be Johka...which I thought sounded weird. I don't like it though...the sole is too thick for my
tastes.
Now, my favorite FeelMax shoe is the Kuusa.
I am running a lot in them during the colder weather here in Seattle (yes, I now live in Seattle and love it).
I wear my Kuusas with FeelMax toe socks. THIS is as close to barefoot as I can get without barefoot in the cold...although as some of you may know, I do like running at night with my Vibram Mocs...even though they are not made for outdoors...but then again, when I started using FiveFingers back January 2006...they weren't made for running!
Naturally, I love the VFF, and really think that it is important for the toes to be able to move independantly when running, yet my Kuusas
are so light and flexible...and THIN..and EASY to get on and off. I just love them. Such a perfect winter shoe. If it were colder (in the 20s this week), I might wear a thicker wool sock, but so far, they are plenty warm for me..in cold, mostly dry conditions.
Keep the minimalist/barefoot re-evolution moving forward.
Best Regards, Barefoot Ted
