Feelmax footwear is the lightest footwear on the market – each shoe weighs less than 100 grams. The shoes fit almost as tightly as a sock, which makes them extremely comfortable to wear.
The shaping of the human foot and the consequent development of our way of walking took approximately four million years. Over the last few millennia, we have restricted the operation of our feet and departed from our natural way of walking by wearing shoes.
The Finnish company Feelmax Oy has enabled a return to the natural by developing the unique Feelmax shoes – pioneers of a new footwear culture – which simulate walking barefoot.
The purpose of Feelmax footwear is to promote the positive effects of being barefoot on the operation and control of the feet, and consequently the whole body.

Not the best they've done

I bought these because I was used to wearing my Panka's and love them. I wanted something that looked more "normal" so I bought the Osma's. I was beyond disappointed when they showed up with such a thick sole. It would be a great transitional shoe from "regular" running shoes but not at all barefoot in my opinion.

These are industrial-strength moccasins -- for the feel of barefoot without worrying too much about sharp things on the ground. I'm learning to run on the balls of the foot rather than with a heel strike and these shoes are perfect. They allow the toes to spread and the arch to move naturally. I'm a little worried that the mesh over the toes will tear if given too much abuse but the soles appear to be quite durable. From a fashion standpoint, the toe is boxy enough to look pretty goofy but they look enough like "normal" shoes to avoid many glances from passers-by.
Highly recommended?
