ACCESS PANEL
Two vertical zippers open the front of the pack allowing you to
rapidly load and unload the contents of your pack. Internal compression
straps keep stress off the zippers and secure your load. Pack can also
be loaded from the top.
RADIO POCKET
Radio Pockets are positioned against the packs frame for safety and
stability. Radio Pockets are capable of carrying a Model 117 Radio, and
ports are provided for antenna and communication wiring.
STERNUM & LOAD STABILIZER STRAPS
The Sternum Strap is essential for keeping shoulder straps in the
proper position. Ours is removable and the position on the strap is
adjustable. An elastic section allows for chest expansion during heavy
exertion. Load Stabilizers on the upper shoulder straps and on the hip
belt keep heavy loads tight to the back.
CRISSCROSS STRAP CLOSURE
Under the lid, but on top of the spindrift collar, straps cross from
front to back, and from side to side, securing the load and providing
for extra lashing options. The side to side strap can neatly secure the
side lift handles under the lid for extra snag-proof security. The side
to side strap also supports the load of the 100oz. reservoir.

This pack is so much better than the old ALICE like I had when I was in the army. Access is fast and easy, being molle it is nice for customizing for what ever your activity is or mission from tackling a 20,000 foot summit to fast response search and rescue in remote backcountry where you can be out longer than several days without having to return to incident base command camp for resupply. The plus feature of this pack for me is easy hydration access, no more having to unload all of the gear to refill the hydration bladders, a time saving feature when time is of the essence and someones life does not have that time to waste.
