Featuring a tough sandproof upper with optional detachable shortor longGaiters both of which protect your feet and shoe from the environment. Together with a heat resistant gum outsole and a bio-flexible underfoot bruise plate, this shoe is designed to assist you run safely and comfortably in the hottest and most arid of environments.

The PT-03 DESERT running shoe has an optimal temperature range of +25 to +50°C (+77 to +122°F) making it ideal for desert training.

This is a great desert shoe. I recently participated in the Bataan Memorial Marathon at White Sands New Mexico and bought these specifically for it. I had been there before and noticed that the biggest problem people seemed to have was stopping to remove sand and rocks in their footwear. With the optional gaiters for these shoes that problem was elminated. I was able to beat my previous time by 47 minutes and I know it was due in no small parts to these shoes. Really outstanding cross country shoes.
