With the Special Operations Sleeping System from TAS, you can choose from two different bags or combine them for the ultimate cold weather bag. The Special Operations Sleeping System includes the T6-1 bag (comfort rating 5C/41F), the T6-2 bag (comfort rating -7C/19F), Special Operations Bivvi bag, and bag zip connector. Combine both bags to rate down to roughly -20C/-4F, or save space by using either bag as a stand alone sleeping bag. The Special Operations Bivvi, can also be used with either bag alone or both together to provide complete water protection and will also drop the comfort rating.

Received these bags from Extreme today and upon first impressions they are quite nice. I am looking forward to giving them a good test in a few weeks. As the other review said the bags have some bug mesh on them that zips fully open. The Bivy is nice but I do wish it has a velcro panel on the hood like the USGI Bivy that comes with the three piece system. Overall though this system is nice and packs much smaller than my USGI one. They are well worth the asking price for sure.

Recently received this item and I'm excited to use it when we go on our backpacking trip this fall. I was looking for something versatile and light weight. This allows you the ability to have the best of both worlds. The sleep system i was carrying before was bigger than this one all packed up and provided about the same warmth rating. The description doesn't mention but the mummy bags also have a no-see-um mesh around the head.
