The Special Forces G10 models share a unique design offering a combination of Carson M16 Series features requested by military procurement specialists. The dual grind Tanto blades were specified because they offer maximum strength. The open build allows two Carson Flippers to be incorporated, resulting in a true hilt- very rare in folding knives.

The M16SF Big Dog is a great knife for the money. Even though the company advises against this, if you carry the knife in the pocket in the "tip up" position, the dual flipper will automatically open the knife as you withdraw it from the pocket, just like the Emerson Wave knives operate. In fact, I have found that the CRKT design is much easier on the corners of pockets than Emerson's Wave when deployed in this manner. The black coating is highly durable, and the knife hones to a razor edge easily.
